It’s Scorpio Season!

It’s Time to Burn It Down!

If you ever want to see what time it is, look to Nature.

Fall is the season of death and destruction

The new moon in Scorpio came in with a bang! She’s highlighting everything whose time has come and she’s not being subtle.

Scorpio keywords are transformation, destruction, death, darkness, emotions, passion, depth, sexuality, secrets, mysterious, and intuitive. If any of these themes are coming up for you, it’s time to take a look at what’s been hiding. If it’s not working for you, let the energy of the season help you let it go.

For everything there is a season

The problem with many westerners is that we are not taught to let go. We’re taught that more is more. It’s best to accumulate. If you’re not moving up, you’re failing. And standing still is better than sliding back. So letting go can be the last thing that many of us want to do. Yet, it’s precisely what we need to do to grow.

How do you know it’s time?

You’ve passed your peak. Your juices have run dry. You’ve had a good run. After that, it’s natural and normal to decline, die, rest, and come back with something new.The love is gone. The passion that you had for a person or thing isn’t there anymore – or the pain outweighs the joy. It’s taking more from you than it’s giving you. You’ve lost yourself to a person or thing (like alcohol). Sticking around is compromising your integrity or authenticity. The thing you’re holding onto can’t stand on its own. You’re forcing it into being. You’ve outgrown this person or thing. It fit for a time, but now it doesn’t.Nothing is “wrong,” but your gut says it’s time to bail. You’ve hit a wall and can’t move forward. Sometimes we’d love nothing more than to keep going, but there is nowhere to go.Things are stagnant. Nothing’s changing. let it go

We don’t do death in the west. We like life to be happy. We outsource or ignore the unpleasant sides of it, but endings don’t have to be horrible. They can be natural.

Everything has a lifespan, and within that lifespan are cycles of birth, death, and rebirth. If you aren’t comfortable with death, let this fall be the beginning of doing it differently. Embrace it.

Let go. Grieve your losses. Lick your wounds. Learn from the experience. Rest. Then, be like the phoenix and rise from the ashes more strong and beautiful than before.
